Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy

Please review the appropriate terms and conditions for your role on the JobForDrones site: there are different terms for Drone Operators/Service Providers and Customers.

Our Privacy Policy, which is applicable to all users, is below.

Jobfordrones  (and Its Affiliates) Privacy Policy

When you read content from our site,  sign up for a newsletter, or sign up for a service on JobforDrones or one of our sister  sites, in some cases you’re trusting us with your information. We understand this is a big responsibility and work hard to protect your information and put you in control.

This Privacy Policy is meant to help you understand what information we collect, why we collect it, and how you can update, manage, export, and delete your information.

This updated version of our Privacy Policy takes effect on May 25, 2018.

We are predominately a United States based service but do have other provider in non-European Union Countries.  

We build a range of services that help  people to learn about drones. Our services include:

  • Developing a listing of Drone Services Providers: Services providers register on Jobfordrones to provide services to people who may want to hire those companies or have them bid on providing those services.   
  • Displaying job information provided by people interested in hiring those drone companies including where they are located and what type of job they are looking for assistance on.
  • Providing educational content on our site.
  • Providing a Newsletter for our readers.

You can use our services in a variety of ways. For example, you can sign up for a newsletter to be reminded or informed of the things that are going on in the space.

You can read much of our content without giving us your personal information such as name or email address, and if you have not entered your email on this site to create a profile or to sign up for the newsletter, we have not collected your email address or personal information.  

Information that  JobforDrones collects

We want you to understand the types of information we collect as you use our services.  If you subscribe to our newsletter: we collect your name, your email address, the region that you live in and the types of content that you are interested in.   You provide us with that information, and we hope to use that information to help us to decide what type of content that we write and to match it to the interests and regions of our readers.  

If you register as a provider: We capture information on payments as they are made, but we do NOT collect any information concerning credit card account numbers, banking or financial institutions.  (That information is handled by our ecommerce transaction provider, FirstData, through their secure portal.) No financial data is stored on the JobForDrones site. We do collect information on the location and services offered by people that register to be a member of our Drone Provider Network.

Providers may edit or remove their information and profiles from the system if they no longer wish to participate on JobForDrones.

We do not sell our lists to other people.  Other parties such as our website developers who may have access to the site have signed a non-disclosure agreement to keep that information private.

Your Privacy Controls

If you decide to share our information with us, you have choices regarding the information we collect and how it’s used.  You can at any point remove your information from out newsletter or our independent service provider service or adjust the information that you have chosen to share with us.  

This is done at the bottom of each newsletter in a web based service that we use or by logging into our service and making those changes.

These allow you to change your subscription by changing your preferences, or to remove all of your information.

Compliance and Cooperation with Regulators

We regularly review this Privacy Policy and make sure that we process your information in ways that comply with laws that govern us and our site.  We have updated these to be in compliance with the new EU privacy regulations that go into effect on May 25th, 2018.

Scope of this Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to all of the services offered by Jobfordrones and its affiliates.  This Privacy Policy doesn’t apply to services that have separate privacy policies that do not incorporate this Privacy Policy.

This Privacy Policy doesn’t apply to:

  • The information practices of other companies and organizations that advertise our services
  • Services offered by other companies or individuals, including products or sites that may include Google services, be displayed to you in search results, or be linked from our services
  • Services that we use to provide our content to our readers

What personal information do we collect from the people that visit our site?

When ordering or registering on our site, as appropriate, you may be asked to enter your name, email address, mailing address, phone number, credit card information or other details to help you with your experience.

When do we collect information?

We collect information from you when you register on our site, place an order, subscribe to a newsletter, fill out a form or enter information on our site.  We collect your information when you provide us with feedback on our products or services

How do we use your information?

We may use the information we collect from you when you register, make a purchase, sign up for our newsletter, respond to a survey or marketing communication, surf the website, or use certain other site features in the following ways:

• To ask for ratings and reviews of services or products

How do we protect your information?

We use vulnerability scanning and/or scanning to PCI standards.
We use Malware Scanning.

Your personal information is contained behind secured networks and is only accessible by a limited number of persons who have special access rights to such systems, and are required to keep the information confidential. In addition, all sensitive/credit information you supply is encrypted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology.

We implement a variety of security measures when a user places an order enters, submits, or accesses their information to maintain the safety of your personal information.

All transactions are processed through a gateway provider and are not stored or processed on our servers.

Do we use ‘cookies’?

Yes. Cookies are small files that a site or its service provider transfers to your computer’s hard drive through your Web browser (if you allow) that enables the site’s or service provider’s systems to recognize your browser and capture and remember certain information. For instance, we use cookies to help us remember and process the items in your shopping cart. We therefore have no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of these linked sites. Nonetheless, we seek to protect the integrity of our site and welcome any feedback about these sites.

 

California Online Privacy Protection Act

CalOPPA is the first state law in the nation to require commercial websites and online services to post a privacy policy. According to CalOPPA, we agree to the following:
Users can visit our site anonymously.
Once this privacy policy is created, we will add a link to it on our home page or as a minimum, on the first significant page after entering our website.
Our Privacy Policy link includes the word ‘Privacy’ and can easily be found on the page specified above.

How does our site handle Do Not Track signals?
We honor Do Not Track signals and Do Not Track, plant cookies, or use advertising when a Do Not Track (DNT) browser mechanism is in place.

Does our site allow third-party behavioral tracking?
It’s also important to note that we do not allow third-party behavioral tracking.

COPPA (Children Online Privacy Protection Act)

When it comes to the collection of personal information from children under the age of 13 years old, the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) puts parents in control. The Federal Trade Commission, United States’ consumer protection agency, enforces the COPPA Rule, which spells out what operators of websites and online services must do to protect children’s privacy and safety online.

We do not specifically market to children under the age of 13 years old.

Fair Information Practices

The Fair Information Practices Principles form the backbone of privacy law in the United States and the concepts they include have played a significant role in the development of data protection laws around the globe. Understanding the Fair Information Practice Principles and how they should be implemented is critical to comply with the various privacy laws that protect personal information.

In order to be in line with Fair Information Practices we will take the following responsive action, should a data breach occur:

We also agree to the Individual Redress Principle which requires that individuals have the right to legally pursue enforceable rights against data collectors and processors who fail to adhere to the law. CAN SPAM Act

The CAN-SPAM Act is a law that sets the rules for commercial email, establishes requirements for commercial messages, gives recipients the right to have emails stopped from being sent to them, and spells out tough penalties for violations.

We collect your email address in order to:
• Send information, respond to inquiries, and/or other requests or questions
• Process orders and to send information and updates pertaining to orders.
• Market to our mailing list or continue to send emails to our clients after the original transaction has occurred.

To be in accordance with CANSPAM, we agree to the following:
• Not use false or misleading subjects or email addresses.
• Identify the message as an advertisement in some reasonable way.
• Include the physical address of our business or site headquarters.
• Monitor third-party email marketing services for compliance, if one is used.
• Honor opt-out/unsubscribe requests quickly.
